I was hosted in Keryneia for a few days in a student residence, I was given a nice simple clean room. The tenants were all young Africans, very quiet and polite. Every day I walked in the historic centre, which has a strangely decadent energy. The fate of the city is clearly visible, in the way it is surrounded by large army camps, is trying to attract cheap tourism and is filled with casinos. Perhaps this is the reason why its sunset came to have a sense of dirt, despite its beauty.
