limestone female figurine known as the ‘Lady of Lempa’, Chalcolithic period (3900-3500 BC), Lempa-Lakkoi

15.4.22 The view from the settlement of Lempa, joy of the Goddess.

The tranquillity and peace of the place, as the settlement rests on a hill-plateau, is still felt to this day. A family sits calmly and quietly under the trees, enjoying each other’s company. The view towards the fertile land and the sea is colourful. I experience the divine quality of seeing the world from above.
