stone head of an animal, possibly a cat, Pre-Pottery Neolithic period (9th millennium BC), Parekklisia-Shillourokampos

24.8.21 Troodos as seen from Parekklisia.

Situated on the foothills of Troodos, the area seems to control the passages and the mineral deposits, the earth is tinted with different shades of green and red, I am thinking that Parekklisia might have also functioned as an observatory for the area above Amathous. The land is fertile, I see many plantations and greenhouses, I see pickup trucks packed with Arab workers passing by, lorries loaded with agricultural products heading downhill, towards Lemesos.
