anthropomorphic stone figurine with accentuated breasts, Pre-Pottery Neolithic period (around 9000 BC), Agia Varvara-Asprokremmos

6.5.21. Agia Varvara. On the banks of the river Tremithos I can hear the frogs.

Driving through the remains of the wheat harvest, in the fi elds of the area, looking for the sites where tools and minerals for the preparation of pigments have been excavated, I hear frogs croaking. This is how I discover the river. The painting note I make has the same colours as the objects in the museum display case, this was not done intentionally and I am fascinated by this realisation.
