11.8.21 Gazing towards the sea from Kouklia, midday.

At Kouklia, the energy of the Goddess is always present and I often find a few flowers resting beside the triangular black river stone, a symbol of the deity. Many years ago, with a circle of women, we played the drum in the precincts of the temple of Aphrodite. The energy we experienced was unique, by playing in synchronisation we entered an energetic space which seemed to connect us to the depths of the earth. The sound we produced felt multiplied in our bodies in a way that enthused us.
