limestone complex depicting the abduction of a woman,  Cypro-Archaic II / Cypro-Classical i period (early 5th c. BC), Vouni (palace)

16.8.17 Vouni. The colours change so quickly that it is impossible for me to capture them. Opposite is Turkey, to the west Pentadaktylos and behind me the Troodos mountains.

I arrived late and the lower door was locked, so I walked the winding uphill road to Vouni. Reaching the top, the view is universal and eerie. As if the trapeze-shaped mountain borders infinity. I felt awe because of the high elevation, the views in blues, in greens. One immediately understands why the palace was built there. It controls everything.
